WATCH: Adele's First Post-Surgery TV Performance

Anyone worrying about the effects of Adele's emergency throat surgery on her voice can rest assured: The soulful singer's still got it.

Though her upcoming performance at the Grammy Awards had been widely touted as the first televised post-surgery gig for Adele, CBS pulled a bit of a coup by airing a clip of Adele singing "Rolling In The Deep" for Anderson Cooper.

In a teaser clip for the show, Cooper asks her to sing the runaway single off 21 and she obliges without hesitation, launching into a typically rousing performance, sans any backing music.

Foreclosure Settlement Reached: Largest Mortgage Deal Ever

The U.S. government announced Thursday a $25 billion settlement with five of the nation's largest banks over charges of systemic and widespread mortgage fraud, in what is being billed as the largest-ever deal on such charges.

The settlement could potentially help more than 1 million struggling homeowners, according to government officials. It is the largest multi-state agreement since the nationwide tobacco settlements in 1998.

MALE, Maldives — The first democratically elected president of the Maldives resigned Tuesday and was replaced by his vice president after the police and army clashed in the streets of the island nation amid protests over the arrest of a top judge.

CNN Suspends Roland Martin For Controversial Tweets

February 8, 2012

CNN announced Wednesday that it is suspending Roland Martin in the wake of the pundit's controversial Super Bowl tweets.

The Washington Post's Erik Wemple posted this statement from the network:

“Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.”

The move came three days after Martin caused an outcry by tweeting that people should "smack the ish" out of any male fans of an underwear ad starring David Beckham.

'Potter' Star: Where Is The Love?

Ryan Gosling and Albert Brooks may not have voiced any public complaints to the Academy, but Daniel Radcliffe isn't staying mum when it comes to "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

"I don't think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids' films, unless they're directed by Martin Scorsese," Radcliffe told the Radio Times (via The Guardian) of the director, who has been nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won one. "I was watching Hugo the other day and going, 'Why was this nominated and we're not?' I was slightly miffed."

"There's a certain amount of snobbery," Radcliffe continued. "It's kind of disheartening. I never thought I'd care. But it would've been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in."
